NJ MANCHESTER — Rent board continues mobile home park dispute over excessive rent increases. The Manchester Rent Leveling Board adjourned the Oak & Mal case to June 2, 2026, after tenant Maria Mork presented evidence her rent jumped from $525 to $750 per month following the property's June 2025 sale, far exceeding the 3.5 percent allowable increase. Owner Zichroni Malchi attributed the discrepancy to potentially fraudulent lease documents from the previous owner; Board Attorney Debra Rumpf said Superior Court, not the board, has jurisdiction over fraud claims.
The board approved vendor bills totaling $1,377.
