NJ MANCHESTER — Planning Board approved emergency backup power for Crestwood senior community. Chairwoman Felicia Finn's board voted unanimously on May 4 to approve a new propane-powered Generac generator for 1 Falmouth Ave, designed to operate a warming center accommodating approximately 300 residents during emergencies; the replacement addresses repeated outages affecting the outdated existing unit during severe winter weather. The board carried applications for tree removal at Whiting Station and fence replacement at Crestwood's perimeter to June 1 pending professional engineering review and site plans.
The board also approved $8,011.40 in professional service invoices.
