NJ MANCHESTER — Manchester Environmental Commission shelves camping event plan, prioritizes community birdhouse initiative instead. The five-member commission voted unanimously to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters and returned to approve the November 25, 2025 meeting minutes, with Commissioner John Franolich abstaining. Rather than host the camping event, which Recreation Director Tracey Lynch deemed too liability-risky, the Commission will operate a birdhouse table at Manchester Day and other community events.
The Commission also approved an Earth Day Art Contest awarding 14 total prizes, including plaques and Dairy Queen gift cards, with t-shirt designs featuring contest winners' artwork.
