NJ MANCHESTER — The Manchester environmental commission endorsed a $10,000 energy planning report and positioned the township for additional state grant funding. Commissioner Dominick Tedeschi and the Environmental Commission heard from Evan Savino of Colliers Engineering, who presented a community energy plan developed through a Board of Public Utilities grant. The report proposes three strategies: alternative fuel vehicle acquisition and public EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy acceleration with on-site municipal generation, and energy efficiency and conservation outreach.

Commission members Anthony Nasta and Robert Morris voiced concerns about solar installation and resident education; the commission voted 3-0 to approve May 27 meeting minutes and directed staff to prepare a memo to the Planning Board regarding a proposed Wilbur Avenue residential subdivision.
